Eating for your body type at home with the perfect Indian meal!

Josh and I recently tried a new Indian food delivery that’s near us called @tulafood_ who are delivering on UberEats. Is it just me or are you ordering so much more delivery now than before lockdown started? We seriously are ordering almost every week, or maybe it’s because I enjoy not cleaning up a few nights a week? Either way, we haven’t been too adventurous and usually when we order Indian food, Josh and I both order a tikka masala or a korma and don’t think twice. This time, when ordering from @tulafood_ we took the quiz on their website before ordering as the initiative behind the food is that you order for your body type through balanced meals. The little quiz is just 8 questions to understand your body and what foods will be best for you to order. So after, we placed our order based on our Dosha (body function and emotional predisposition) — although when the food actually arrived, everything looked amazing and we ended up sharing (although I really wish I didn’t share the lamb or the beetroot pulao with Josh because those two were hands down the perfect combo and my favourite part of the meal).

We tried:
- Slow-cooked lamb stew cooked in yogurt and spiced with cardamom, cinnamon and chillies
- Cod curry cooked in coconut spiced with peppercorns, clove and cardamom
- Stir-fried cabbage with roasted gram, ginger and curry leaves
- Slow-cooked Bengal and black gram dal with cumin and coriander
- White pumpkin, sweet potato and carrots in a cumin-spiced coconut sauce
- Squash, yam, potato and carrot stew with turmeric, green chillies and jaggery
- Bengal gram daal with coconut and raisins
- Beetroot and spiced rice ‘pulao’ with mint
- Brown basmati rice with cinnamon, turmeric and peas

It was so much that we had lunch the next day, too! Having 8-9 dishes was definitely more than enough for one meal for two people, and probably next time, Josh and I would order about 4 to share — that being said, leftovers are half the fun of ordering take-out, am I right? If you take the quiz, let me know what your dosha is and definitely check out Tula!!
