Baked camembert in puff pastry
Camembert sunshine!! Aka baked camembert in puff pastry β¨π€
I saw @mrshinchhome make a sunshine baked brie on her stories yesterday and had to jump on and make one, too, because we go wild for camembert in this house β I swapped the brie for camembert and added some herbs & honey for extra pizzazz!
Ingredients:
1 @jus_rol puff pastry sheet
1 camembert
2-3 tbsp red onion chutney (although swap for what you prefer; I think others would be nice, too)
1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
1 pinch of fresh thyme
1 tsp mild honey
1 egg, whisked
Preheat oven to 200c fan. Cut circle out of puff pastry as large as possible. Roll out excess pastry from the first circle cuttings to form a circle of similar size. Place camembert in the middle and brush chutney around it. Sprinkle rosemary over chutney. Score the cheese! Place second circle over the top, pressing around the camembert and press the outside of the circle to seal with a fork. Cut slices and twist them to form the sun rays. Brush with egg and sprinkle with thyme! Pop in the oven for 10-15 mins and then simply slice the top of the puff past over the cheese off, tear off the rays of the puff pastry, dunk in melted cheese and enjoy!
