Gemma's Gift List
Who doesn’t love a good prezzie? I don’t know anyone who would say no to being spoiled in some way, shape or form.
Every year, I endlessly search online and offline for the gifts I’d LOVE to give and be given, so this is my list for you to have for this years gifts that I’m already lining up to give to those special someones in my life that deserve a little (or a big) treat.
Save yourself the searching, and click through each image to find out more.
Self-indulgent Treats
Although you should be treating yourself all year for your hard work, perseverance through tough times, and just because you can - the holidays are the best reason to feel festive and get yourself all the things you’ve had your eye on.
I’ve been a big fan of Sézane since Alex Noiret first started modelling for the brand, and have now fallen head over heels for their gorgeous bags, especially the Paulo bag (below) with a little scarf accessory, it’s the perfect bag for any occasion.
In addition, some guilty pleasures - like an excess of plants at home (Patch is fab for this because you can deck out your house with greenery in the click of a button), or a big puffy Uniqlo jacket that doesn’t make you look like a marshmallow (there is a women’s version of the coat that I personally own and it makes me want to run outside in the cold everyday, and I know the men’s jacket is on my boyfriend’s wish-list).
These are the goodies that I would want to find under the tree, or treat myself to, this year.
Under £10: Ballin’ on a Budget
or what the hell to buy for your Secret Santa that won’t go in the bin?
Why do I need to spend any money on the random colleague that I’ve never spoken to? Nothing says Christmas in the office like a Secret Santa you don’t want to participate in. Here are some items that nobody could say no to - and you don’t have to worry about going over the £10 budget.
Experiences for two (or more!)
Planning experiences that will please your recipient can be hard, so I’ve made it a little bit easier and compiled the most fun plans you can make that won’t break the bank - tea at The Ritz for only £49.50/person - and can be scheduled into the New Year. From sushi making, to unlimited raclette or a gin tour, you can consider your gift experiences sorted.
“I need to get them a gift… but I have no idea what to get them”
Being picky can sometimes be a blessing (maybe when finding a potential partner) but when it comes to prezzies, picky people can be the hardest to shop for. I know I am one of those people (apologies in advance to my boyfriend), but below are some present that will be sure to please no matter how difficult your friend/aunt/brother-in-law/boss is.
Big spenda!
Having some money to spend means you can get some limited or hard to find gifts that you otherwise wouldn’t. These are gifts I’ve always wanted to splurge on (or have) and they are like no other prezzies that your loved ones with receive.
The Parents Category
The most complicated category: the people that already have everything. The people you want to give something thoughtful that isn’t a fancy photo frame with a printed out pic of the family (yes, I’ve done this before). These are the four gifts that I personally will be giving this year (or gave last year) from something small (organic nut butter) for the parents/grandparents that have everything, to a cheese subscription for the food connoisseurs - this little list should have everyone covered.
