Pesto bakes Camembert
Quick & easy: pesto bakes Camembert!
Forget the pesto eggs trend - it’s yummy, yes - but pesto + cheese = heavenly!
Ingredients:
1 Camembert
1 small loaf of crusty bread (this was called giraffe bread..)
2 tbsp pesto (I used homemade)
Preheat the oven to 200 C fan. Cut a Camembert sized hole in your bread and make sure it’s deep enough so that the whole cheese can fit inside. Pop the cheese into the hole and cover the rest of the bread in foil, leaving a hole where the cheese is. Cut the top of your camembert off (like a little bowl). Spread your 1 tbsp pesto inside, then add the little cheese lid and spoon the other pesto on top. Pop in the oven for about 30minutes (depends on your oven), keep an eye on it as every oven is different - just pop it out and have a poke to see if the inside is gooey enough. Once it’s ready take it out, drizzle some honey if you like, the rest of the bread that didn’t go in the oven and dig in while it’s hot and gooey!
Also count how many times I say camembert and “pop” 🙈🙈🙈
