Seared sesame tuna salad with honey mayo dressing! ✨

I’m a huge lover of seafood, but I’m a big fan of buying sustainable, safe and local seafood. So I bought some delicious tuna steaks, sesame seeds, my favourite miso (trust me, I’m addicted) and made us a delicious and healthy lunch and I honestly am buzzing to share with you!

Ingredients:
2 tuna steaks
4 tbsp black sesame seeds
1 tbsp Cornish seasalt seaweed salt (or crushed seaweed with sea salt, or skip!)
1 avocado, sliced
¼ cucumber, sliced
5 radishes, sliced
1 bag of mixed leaf salad
1 lime, sliced into wedges
2 packets of Itsu miso (or 2 tbsp miso)
1 tbsp honey
1 drizzle olive oil
+ Frylight for grilling (or oil)

Drizzle your seaweed salt on both sides of tuna steaks and then press sesame seeds on both sides until completely covered. Then, simply get your grill (or frying pan) heated up and either spray with firelight or drizzle veg oil. Then pop your tuna steaks in and grill for a couple of minutes on each side (4-6 mins in total - depending on thickness and preferred cook-ness). Arrange your salad with leaves, cucumber, avocado, radishes, lime wedges and slice up your tuna to plate on top. Mix honey, miso and olive oil together and drizzle on top! Serve right away.

With this recipe, I’d love to share some encouragement to learn more about where your food comes from, who the producers are, who is behind getting that food from the ocean (or farm) onto your table - because some truths may surprise you. Over the lockdown period, I’ve learned a lot about where my food comes from, and continue to learn, and I know that I’m not perfect with what I eat and choose to buy, and you don’t have to be either, but we can all take a step in the right direction together.
