The perfect cheeseboard
Cheeseboards save lives ✨ well, no, but staying home does so make a cheeseboard!
We all know I love me a bit of cheese, and I know it’s not a recipe, but I’m sharing all the details of what’s on my autumnal cheese board so you can make one just like it easily, too!
I made this using:
soft white cheese
ash coated goats cheese
double devonshire
mature cheddar
hard blue (can go soft, too)
*All from Farmdrop! Their cheese selection is incredible! ad pr product
Once I’ve arranged the largest items, I make sure I have all the cheeses spread out and you want to pre-slice or crumble the ones you can so people can grab a piece with ease (and looks inviting). Then add in any meats into gaps, cured meats or salami sticks. Nuts, dried fruit, olives can fill any spaces. Make sure you have some crackers and chutneys or jams on hand and always add some fresh herbs to finish for an extra rustic plate that looks like you did pay attention to detail, even if you just tossed all the ingredients on a plate and ran with it!
Josh and I are just sharing the other half of our Chianti with the cheeses tonight, no special pairing, but depending on your cheeses, you can find some amazing wine pairings to go alongside. What I can say, is if you’re opening a bottle, be sure to choose one you love so that no matter what you’re eating, you’re having a few of your favourite sips along the way 🍷
Did I go over the top with this spread in the end? I love it.
