Garlic and lime grilled steak tacos
Garlic & lime grilled steak tacos
One of my favourites for a quick & easy dinner, definitely a go-to, and what better to share on this Taco Tuesday! We already know my love for my George Foreman UK grills, so fab for whipping up lunch, dinner & everything in between. I grilled these on the flexe grill, it goes totally flat so can do the tacos and the steak on the same surface. It’s a time saver for sure! Funny story but Josh was the one who introduced me to the GF grills, now I’ve taken over as grill queen of the house. May need to have a grill off with dad next time I’m home. 🤣
Ingredients: (makes 4 street tacos)
1 sirloin steak (1 inch thick)
1 tsp garlic powder
2 limes
2 pinches salt
1 small dash of olive oil (optional)
+ tortilla, toppings of choice (I went for fresh salsa, red onion, avocado & crispy tortilla chips)
Sprinkle salt and garlic powder and juice of one lime over both sides of your steak. Leave to marinate for 8-10mins. Heat your grill up in the meantime, and when it's ready, pop your steak on and put the lid down. Cook for 4-5 mins (or to desired level of cooked). Then when ready, remove steak and cut into bite-size pieces. Open your grill (carefully with a kitchen towel or oven glove as it may be hot) and place your tortillas on for a few minutes. Flip and then remove. Load up and add your toppings! Finish with a squeeze of lime & enjoy!
