Roasted Pears with Brown Sugar

Ripe pears, roasted with brown sugar on top of jumbo rolled oats in creamy oat milk with pecans and cinnamon ☕️ with a giant cup of tea (or a few) on the side!

This mornings breakfast wasn’t going to be snapped but these gorgeous pears were ripe and ready to roast! Sweet, juicy and soft, just how I like ‘em!

Ingredients:

4 ripe pears, halved lengthwise

4 tbsp dark brown sugar 

How to:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c and place each pear with the inside flat side facing up on a tray, I put mine in a ceramic oven dish, then lather the brown sugar on each until it’s dissolved.

  2. Pop the dish in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pear has properly softened and is heated through and the sugar is starting to dissolve into the fruit.

  3. Serve on top of oatmeal, with vanilla or salted caramel ice cream or with cream and some crumble topping!
