Homemade salmon sashimi bowl
Sometimes I’m craving the experience of eating an expensive sashimi bowl, without wanting to sit down in a restaurant, fork over £15-30 and then worry about ordering too much — and as much as I adore eating out, it’s important for me to also be at home and make food for myself too (because I genuinely love cooking 😊) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@sainsburys sell sushi, sashimi and allllll sorts of bowls and rolls — so I bought the ready-sliced salmon sashimi to take home and combine with ingredients in my fridge for a simple but delicious meal 💯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How to make this simple homemade sashimi bowl:
🍚 1 pack @unclebensusa 10 minute white rice (the box has individual servings)
🐟 salmon sashimi from the @sainsburys sushi counter
🍅 pack of Vittoria tomatoes (these seem to be the juiciest at sainsbos)
🥑 a whole, ready to eat avocado 🌱 chives, to chop and sprinkle on top
🥢 soy sauce for added flavaaaa
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How to:
Simply cook the rice for the 10-12 mins, slice avocado, chop finely chives , halve the cherry toms and then when the rice is ready, drain and put into a bowl, add your sashimi (ready sliced from the box) and lay your array of veggies around it, sprinkle chives and soy as you want on top 🥢
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is definitely a one person serving, so double, triple or quadruple (or more 🙈) as necessary, and add extra slices, seasoning, etc as you like on yours 💥

Do you ever try to make sushi at home? What do you make? I have yet to try rolls 😍 but really want to!
